Sophie began dancing at the age of 5 and completed her Diploma of Dance Performance at the National College of Dance in 2008.
As part of her assessment in the Diploma course she recieved 100% mark for the Contemporary Dance Choreography component. Earlier in the year, Sophie was awarded a scholarship by 5 American judges at the Global Dance Awards for Contemporary Choreography. Sophie was also chosen to take part in the student choreographer / student composer collaboration programme run by Marilyn Jones and Garth Welch in conjunction with the Sydney Conservatorium.
In 2009 Sophie may take up a contract with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, while auditioning for dance opportunities or further study overseas.
